How to help us

Posted by mrsburns under 2009 Match

To sponsor a player

For £50 you will be able to sponsor a player for the game itself. We cannot guarantee you will be able to sponsor a specific player, but you will have helped our cause. In return you will be given a jersey worn by one of the players after the match as your memento of the day.

Donations

We will be accepting donations of any description before the match which we can then use as raffle prizes that will also hopefully boost our fundraising efforts.

All local businesses will be contacted in due course, as we hope the local business community gets behind the event and helps to make more successful than last year’s match. No matter what you can give, everything helps.

A full list of this year’s sponsors will begin as soon as we start to receive pledges.

The 2008 match had originally been scheduled for Sunday August 10th and after a waterlogged pitch delayed the game, it finally took place on Sunday August 24th.

Around 450 people witnessed a fantastic game played in great spirit by some of the best players ever to don the colours of Arthurlie and Pollok. The game raised funds for the Beatson Cancer Care Centre and Accord Hospice.
