Eric Hickey

The Legends Match is being played in honour of Eric Hickey (1945-2007), one of Barrhead’s finest and a lifelong supporter of good causes.  Eric’s commitment to charitable work has left a lasting memory and inspired the charitable efforts of The Legends match.

“Eric was a true gentleman, an ambassador for Barrhead. I got to know him through his community work and he was just an all round good guy. The charity match is an excellent tribute to Eric and not a day passes by when he is not missed by the community, friends and family.” – Cllr Danny Devlin
